is the nation’s leading nonprofit organization dedicated to funding research that accelerates the pace of medical discoveries to improve the quality of life for patients with fibromyalgia.

Make a DonationThrough donations, AFSA supports studies that seek out the causes and treatments for fibromyalgia, which is an extremely painful, fatiguing, and often debilitating medical condition that affects 3-5% of the population. By stepping up research on fibromyalgia, AFSA and its generous contributors are working together to make a substantial difference in the lives of millions.

Grant Application & InstructionsScientists are currently focusing on abnormalities in the central nervous system that are believed to cause widespread muscular pain, sleep and digestive disorders, chronic headaches, memory and concentration difficulties, and many other body-wide symptoms.

Ninety percent of donations to AFSA go directly to fund research.
